What is grower champagne, you might ask? Well, all the big brands at the supermarket (you know who I'm talking about) don't usually grow their own grapes - they go out and hire other people to do it. Their work is mostly blending together different vintages to ensure they maintain their "house style". This, though? There's no hiding here - the winemaker grew his own grapes, vinified the wine and stuck the year he did it on the label.
